Janine: I like some of Ilona Andrews’ shifters, but not all. In that world shifters are humans infected with special virus – they certainly have some animalistic characteristics, but they are humans living with virus, that’s pretty much it and I love how easily they incorporate some things that some animals will do in nature and that to me deepens the characterizations of them as humans.
